U16s show class in the cup

U16 junior’s showed heaps of class winning this Sunday and went through to the next round of the county cup.

They eat Beverley Town 9- 3. 

Junior’s took the lead after 21 secs when Owen Kirke took the ball round the keeper and slotted home.

Charlie Brooks made it 2-0 a few mins later with a half volley. 3–0 came with Kirke smashing the ball which went though the keepers legs. Brooks then made it 4–0 with a similar half volley. 

Bev pulled a goal back from a free kick by beating  the offside trap. HT 4-1.

the 2nd half started with some excellent football from westella creating chance after chance.

But Bev got a 2nd when westella were caught napping. Kirke got his hat trick and westella”s 5th with a well taken goal from a cross from the right. Josh Wares made it 6–2 when he followed in after the keeper spilled the ball after a fine save. Wares made it 7–2 when Kirke laid it on for a simple tap in.

After a mix up in defence Bev Town got there 3rd. and Kirke got his 4th and Westella’s 8th. before James Watson laid the ball off to Wares to rifle a shot from the edge of the box to complete his hat trick and secure a safe passage through to the next round.
